Some may call me lazy...

... and that may be correct, but not in this case. I know what you're thinking, "This guy lambastes us all for not posting comments on his blog and then he decides to just take an entire week off." Pretty sad, right? Well, here's the thing. I have had a bit of a dilemma this week as I have wanted to post new stuff but I didn't want the missions trip blog to get pushed out of the top spot, never to be read again. So, if you're reading this and you haven't read my blog about the missions trip, please take time to check it out. So... that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

SRC Prayer Walk
Laurie and I really enjoyed our time with those of you that went on the prayer walk this past Saturday. It was fun getting to know you all a little better. It is going to be exciting to see how God arranges all of the details for us to move down there and start investing in the students of SRC and the surrounding community. (Side note to Doug: Thanks for taking us to the Naval Academy, we'll be praying for your work there.) We're looking forward to the next time we can all get together. Speaking of next time...

Crab Feast is much needed!!
Could we make plans for a SRC crab feast? Laurie works this weekend but we are both available the weekend of the 9th. Any interest in making that happen? I have been living in PA for too long... I need some crabs in my belly. I'm willing to chip in toward the cost, unless we can go catch 'em instead (Side note to Janet: you may come to regret having told me about the boat :), Laurie and I LOVE being out on the water!)

Our Info
I had told some of you at the Prayer Walk that I would post my contact info on the blog here, but Doug got me all scared that someone in cyberspace is going to steal my identity if I put too much info on the blog. :) So, if you would like our current contact info, feel free to email me at matthew.boyer@comcast.net.

Thanks SRC!
Thanks so much for your friendliness when Laurie and I came down on Saturday. We really had a blast. We're already anticipating our next chance to hang out!

-Matt and Laurie

Laurie would agree with you Sarah. She likes crabs, but she LOVES shrimp!

And thanks Janet for the encouraging words!

I vote yes for the 9th. Who's invited? Only people who leave a comment? can we extend that to my blog too?

Double Digits! Double Digits!

What time on the 8th? If we could do it in the evening, but I know the Gilts and the Rainey's are at a wedding at 12:30-reception in Northern VA.

But also, I'm not trying to presume I am invited. Let us know.

Alright.

First. Thank you Matt for inspiring all of us bloggers that there is Comment Nirvanna.

Second. Janet and I have talked, and agree with Matt that there should be a SRC Crab feast on Saturday July 8th.

Third. You do not have to leave a comment on Matt or Ben's blog to attend, however we are under no obligation to steam your crabs then.

Fourth. We need other food stuffs. Food helps! So Jessica is in charge of that. Someone tell her.

Fifth. I think that this has been so much fun, I can't wait to see you there. At 5:00 on July 8th.

Obviously, crabs are more important than the world cup.

This is great!! I can't believe the frenzy that I started! Crab feast on the 8th will work for us. I'll email Janet to work out the details on the crabbing. And don't worry about where we'll go, my family is in the area ad always love it when we stop by!

Don't call Jess, she's bringing food. Food Helps! Ask Janet, she's developing a Theology on it.

Jessica, glad to have you on board... both with the crab feast and the blogging. We bloggers greatly appreciate the responses. I can hardly believe that we're approaching 20! This is a proud day for us all.

Well, that's what Ben hired me for... :)

Sarah -- I too have been checking back quite often. A 24 comment blog doesn't just happen everyday!

Christine -- I'm glad you guys could re-arrange your schedule to make it work. This is gonna be awesome!

A Note to Edward Templeton:

You and your family are welcome to join us. And yes, we will be using the Old Bay seasoning. So bring your Aunt Bertha and whoever else might be interested and we'll show em how crabbing is done!

Just one thing though... would it be alright if I refer to you by the nickname E. Temple? and perhaps Bertha wouldn't mind going with A. Bert?
